Q. Two plane accidents happened within days of each other in 1963. The first occurred when a DC8 ran off a runway in London. The second resulted in the deaths of all 118 on board. What was the name of the airline whose planes were involved in both accidents?

A. Below are all the plane crashes in 1963 including carrier and fatalities. The site lists all info you are looking for. It was too much to cut and paste here. If I count right, there were 57 crashes that year.

How do I stop my kittens from having accidents outside of the litterbox?
Q. I have 2 kittens, one is 14 weeks old and the other is 16 weeks old. I have had them for about 3 weeks now. They were doing so well and were litter-trained without a problem. In the past few days they have been having little accidents all over the house (#1 and #2.) I clean the litterbox regularly and have thoroughly disinfected the areas of the "accidents." The litterbox is very accessible to them. What can I do to prevent future accidents?
Asked by Lexy S - Tue Aug 11 12:44:38 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The kittens are very small, so what's causing the accidents is their big appetite and small bladder. They'll grow out of eventually, and there's not much you can do until then. However, you could encourage litterbox habits by rewarding them with treats when you find them leaving the litterbox, and picking them up and placing them in it when you catch them red-handed. If you also want to discourage the pooping outside, you could show them their piddle and poo (or force them to sniff it) and tell them a firm, 'No!' or 'Bad kitty!'. - Graci

How often to snow related accidents happen?
Q. I live down south, and it doesn't snow here.. I see here on youtube, multi car accidents, because the roads are slick. How often do these things happen, have you ever been involved in one of these accidents?
Asked by cubanchongo - Tue Jul 1 13:33:19 2008 - - 5 Answers - 1 Comments
A. Hydroplaning Accidents also called aquaplaning or planing are caused when a driver loses steering control because a layer of water on the roadway prevents direct contact between the tires and the road surface. The resulting loss of friction causes the vehicle to lose braking, steering and power to the wheels causing a complete loss of control by the driver. The vehicle skids until it collides with something else or friction between the road and wheels is regained. Hydroplaning risks include deep water or heavy rain, speeding, imbalance/overloaded vehicle and poor tire maintenance and worn out or under-inflated tires. When it start to rain you have a 50 percent chance of having an accident and it happens alot...

How many accidents until your insurance company drops you?
Q. And in what kind of time frame (amount of accidents/period of time). I've just had my third accident in two years. No other cars were involved, but I have a habit of backing into and hitting stationary objects (I'm a terrible driver, I know).
Asked by Lulu - Thu Nov 1 17:14:03 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Depends on what state you live in. A couple states won't allow an insurance company to cancel an auto policy, for any reason - they'll just keep increasing the rates, and bumping up your deductibles. I'd imagine, if you're in a state like this, they're going to want you to take a $1,000 deductible per accident. States that allow cancellations for accidents, well, usually it's two inside three years. And it's not truely a cancellation - it's a "non-renewal". Not that it makes any practical difference to a non-insurance geek.

Can a Dog have frequent accidents in the house after being spayed?
Q. My 8 month old puppy just got spayed 5 days ago, i've had her for 2 and a half months and shes had 1 very small pee accident during that time. Since she's been home from the surgery she has had 4 pee accidents. First I thought it could be the pain medication, however now it has been 2 days without it and she still had an accident. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, and should I be concerned. And also she does pee more frequently when I take her out.
Asked by andy t - Sat Mar 14 23:16:01 2009 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. While fixed females may develop spay incontinence (and intact females may develop it anyway as they age) 5 days after surgery it is not related to the spay but perhaps to the surgery. dogs can have a lapse in behavior whenever there is a major change (and sometimes small changes too) and she may still be recovering from being away from you and in a hospital environment etc. She is also right at the age where most dogs backtrack in training and the two just coincided. Start her training again or at the very least take her out for an extra 2 walks and be sure to walk her when she is most likely to need to go.

What happens with your insurance if you get into two accidents and get an additional ticket?
Q. I got into two accidents, both were rear-endings. The first one there was a claim against my insurance. The second there was not much damage so there was not an insurance claim but I received a ticket for both accidents. Then I also received a ticket for running a red light. Damn the luck! What will happen to my insurance, will they drop me, will my premium sky rocket? I only have liability.

A. There are alot of different factors that are going to play into what decision the insurance company makes. Some companies have a threshold for how many accidents they will allow their policy holders to have. If you only have liability they are likely to drop you because you are a riskier customer. If you are paying $100/ month and have already cost they $3000 or so then they will cut there loses and you might have to go into a risk pool. The best thing you can do is find a way that you can compare different rates and talk with someone that can help point you in the right direction. A. Forty-odd years ago it was okay for undergraduates to do experiments with radioactive sources. The laboratory had lots and lots of lead bricks, for the students to build a wall to shield their bodies from these radiation sources during the experiment. The commonest accident was dropping a lead brick on your foot.

Airbags also greatly increase the efficiency of seat-belts, in some cases up to 50%. A. well seeing how a flight can be non stop for someone and have stops for someone else on the same flight just depends on when you get on and when you get off.. very few planes just go back and forth between two airports... most make jumps and stops in different locations on different planes.. ie when i go to NC... I have to travel from chicago on the same plane to Balt. stay on the same plane while plenty get off and a lot get on and we all get off in NC. so its 1 stop for me and non stop for them. just depends when you get on so there is no way that a study could show which had more accidents because planes make multiple stops in a flight its not direct and the chances of a airplane having accidents are very slim just pick the cheaper… [cont.]

What kind of insurance & how much should a Landlord get coverage for any accidents occur on their property?
Q. I will be renting out one of my properties and although I have full Home Owners insurance for myself, a family of 4 in North Central Ocala will be renting it for 6 months. I want to have adequate coverage for possible accidents that might occur on my property.

A. Min $300,000 liability but $1,000,00 is preferred. Make sure that your policy will cover rentals. If it is an owner occupied policy, you may not be covered with tenants.
